Creeps among us

Today I’m coming to you with another recommendation. This time it’s a movie I watched last weekend, titled Creep . Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creep_(2014_film) I must admit, I am a fan of horror and thriller movies. I know these aren’t very ambitious genres and they are often productions of poor quality, but there’s always this haunting sense of fear and thrill. You never know what’s going to happen next and sometimes when you do, you want to just close your eyes and stop watching. I had a similar feelings while watching Creep . It’s an American production, premiered in 2014 and directed by Patrick Brice. It’s a movie of just two actors and tells a story about a guy who finds out that he’s terminally ill so he decides to record a video diary for his unborn baby. To do that, he employs a guy named Aaron and they spend a whole day together. Of course, it turns out later that not everything is what it seems to be. It’s not the best thriller movie in the world but I found

Holism in a nutshell

A couple of weeks ago I recommended you a series called “Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries” which is a nice, mysterious TV show with a colourful, aristocratic protagonist, titular Miss Fisher. This time I’m coming to you with another detective series titled “Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency”. Source: https://www.amazon.com/Dirk-Gently-S2-Elijah-Wood/dp/B07544M645 This series might be about a detective, just like “Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries”, but in this case, the creators of the series give us a total rollercoaster ride. The TV show, based on a book of the same name, starts with a bloody, horrible murder of several people committed in a hotel room. Then, a series of unexpected events occurs which makes one of the main protagonists, Todd (played by Elijah Wood which one can recognise from “The Lord of the Rings” movies) seem responsible for the whole thing. Since then, he starts collaborating (although not completely of his own choosing) with a titular character, Dirk Gently,

New Year!

2020 is over. This horrible year, a year of disasters, calamities, hated by everyone, came to an end (finally, one would like to say). While it is doubtless that this past year experienced us all and put us in times that we would rather forget about, it is rather obvious that a change of number is only a change of number and we will still have to experience failures, bad things and disappointments, just as we did before. Despite that, it comes as no surprise people are starting this year with willingness to live and big hopes for changes. When I look back at 2020, I can’t say it was a bad year for me, although it was mostly a year of the pandemic. I have already written about it in one of the earlier posts. As for 2021, I must admit I have no expectations because the past year showed us that we really can’t be sure of anything. There are a few things that, I hope, will happen, but if 2020 taught me something, it is that I really shouldn’t take everything for granted. I don’t consider
