Creeps among us

Today I’m coming to you with another recommendation. This time it’s a movie I watched last weekend, titled Creep.

I must admit, I am a fan of horror and thriller movies. I know these aren’t very ambitious genres and they are often productions of poor quality, but there’s always this haunting sense of fear and thrill. You never know what’s going to happen next and sometimes when you do, you want to just close your eyes and stop watching.

I had a similar feelings while watching Creep. It’s an American production, premiered in 2014 and directed by Patrick Brice. It’s a movie of just two actors and tells a story about a guy who finds out that he’s terminally ill so he decides to record a video diary for his unborn baby. To do that, he employs a guy named Aaron and they spend a whole day together. Of course, it turns out later that not everything is what it seems to be.

It’s not the best thriller movie in the world but I found it very decent. What is the most terrifying, in my opinion, is that it doesn’t involve any supernatural elements like in many movies of similar genre. It’s about someone who has some psychological problems that significantly influence his life – so in reality, it can be anyone. When you meet someone new, everything may seem fine, but you never know what is next. You never know how this person is really like. Of course, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t meet anyone new anymore or that you should assume that everyone is a freak – but rather to keep your mind clear and maintain your caution as well.

Obviously, there are some elements in this movie which were a little incomprehensible (if you watch it, you’ll understand) but in general it’s a movie I can fully recommend you. Well, of course only if you like this kind of cinematography.
